A rule of thumb is to never buy vinyl fencing made by other countries or come on a "container". It is known that other countries extrude vinyl using lead - which is harmful to humans and cheaper to make. Also, you cannot control quality, the fence or outdoor structure may look the same, but it is whats inside that counts, it is easy to "cheapen the product" but using lower grade materials.
Also - you do not want a warranty from a foreign country because how do you collect if you have an issue? Usually, your local home and garden big box store carries only the lowest grade vinyl on the market that can result in multiple failures and unhappy customers. And the newest "Joke" in the industry - digless vinyl fence systems - stay away from digless systems at all cost! From our experience, the largest problem are styles that change from year to year. For example, if you installed a fence from a big box store and a year later a tree fell on a section, you are not guaranteed that the store will even carry the same style. Unfortunately, we get phone calls all of the time with people trying to "match up" a big box fence, which is impossible. Why do some companies sell 5" x 5" - .135" thick posts and USAVinyl sells 5" x 5" .150" thick posts with concrete holes routed 12" from the bottom of the post?
.135" thick posts are cheaper because they use less vinyl and they are not as strong - period. USAVinyl does not handle .135" thick posts because they are inferior and could cause problems for you in the future. Never buy .135" thick posts they are cheaper for a reason.... The thinner wall thickness of the discount fencing is more likely to sustain a crack or break upon normal impact.
Concrete does not "adhere" to vinyl - USAVinyl custom routes a hole 12" from the bottom so the concrete can go into the post for extra strength for our vinyl fencing
Thickness of vinyl profiles does matter! (Vinyl extrusions have normal tolerances of + or - 10%)
USAVinyl uses co-extrusion technology - why is co-extrusion superior to mono extrusions?
Co-Extrusion technology is the more advanced technology; our product is made in two layers. USAVinyl only uses top quality 100% virgin materials in our extrusions. The outer layer contains a more concentrated amount of UV protection – 10-12 parts per 100 of TI02/Titanium Dioxide. The inner layer utilizes TRUFORCE - impact modifiers which are the toughest acrylic modifiers in the industry. This is a key reason USAVinyl consistently outperforms the competition in impact testing.
Mono-Extrusion is an old technology – the problem with mono extrusion is typically strength – you cannot utilize the same impact modifiers because those impact modifiers are different colors – so it is very difficult to have the same tensile strength as co-extrusion.

I see some vinyl fences claiming they are digless vinyl fence systems - do they work?
Well - some companies think you can just pound (or "bam") a round metal post in the ground and attach a vinyl post to it and like magic you are done sipping a cold drink enjoying your fence. Not true at all - this is a gimmick. From our experience these systems are very weak and do not save installation time AND are difficult to to keep straight and level. What is the old saying - you can't cut corners for quality - remember, our vinyl fencing will last a lifetime, so do not fall for the gimmicks of a quick installation. Nobody honestly thinks a fence post with absolutely no concrete around them will last a lifetime, well we know they will not....
Is vinyl fencing, vinyl railing, vinyl pergolas or vinyl gazebos more expensive then wood?
Actually our vinyl products are not more expensive then wood. Although your investment may be more initially, this is where your expense ends. The cost difference is quickly eliminated once the substantial cost of maintenance and repair of a wood fence is considered. Will vinyl products become brittle in cold weather?
While plastic materials do become less flexible when it's cold, USAVinyl's components are designed to accommodate temperature swings. The impact modifiers we use to prevent breaking also allows our vinyl to withstand cold weather conditions.
