Never buy vinyl fencing made by other countries or come on a "container" - it is known that other countries extrude vinyl using lead - which is harmful to humans.
Everyone has heard about the recent recalls involving products made in China that contain lead. Plastic Jewelry, toy train sets coated with lead paint and most recently, the recall of Mattel toys.
In countries outside the United States, it is not out of the ordinary for lead to be used as a stabilizer in Vinyl compounds because it is less expensive then the high-quality, safe alternatives that USAVinyl uses in its fences. USAVinyl feels that consumers should not have to worry about harmful lead hidden in PVC Fencing and is proud to be able to state that we never have and never will use lead as a stabilizer in our vinyl fencing products.
Also - you do not want a warranty from a foreign country. Some companies are selling foreign products that are new and unproven - at USAVinyl - we only sell the highest quality American made vinyl fencing and aluminum fencing. - Why purchase from USAVinyl instead of my local "big box" home improvement stores?
Typically, your local home and garden superstore carries only the lowest grade vinyl on the market that results in multiple failures and unhappy customers. The one major problem is styles that change from year to year. For example, if you installed a fence from a big box store and a year later a tree fell on a section, you are not guaranteed that the store will even carry the same style. This happens all of the time and the end-user is left with a fence that cannot be repaired with the same style. USAVinyl only uses top quality 100% Virgin materials in our extrusions. USAVinyl also uses an acrylic mixture with the vinyl in our substrate for extra strength. USAVinyl's vinyl fencing is typically a minimum of 20% stronger in impact resistance then that of our next closest competitor! (Tensile Strength of 6600 PSI and an Impact resistance of 22.5 Ft. lbs/in). The thickness of vinyl profiles separates quality vinyl products from poor grade vinyl products. Typically, your local home and garden superstore carries only the lowest grade vinyl on the market. That is why no professional fence company will install anything from your local home and garden superstore!
Do not buy fencing that depend on screws and brackets to hold the fence together. USAVinyl's vinyl fence is properly engineered so that all pieces lock together into pre-routed slots for strength and durability.
- Why do some companies sell 5" x 5" - .135" thick posts and USAVinyl sells 5" x 5" .150" thick posts with concrete holes routed 12" from the bottom of the post?
.135" thick posts are cheaper because they use less vinyl and they are not as strong. USAVinyl does not handle .135" thick posts because they are inferior and could cause problems for you in the future - Beware of .135" thick posts they are cheaper for a reason.... The thinner wall thickness of the discount fencing is more likely to sustain a dent, crack or even break upon normal impact.
Concrete does not "adhere" to vinyl - USAVinyl custom routes a hole 12" from the bottom so the concrete can go into the post for extra strength.
Thickness of vinyl profiles does matter! (Vinyl extrusions have normal tolerances of + or - 10%)
- USAVinyl uses co-extrusion technology - why is co-extrusion superior to mono extrusions?
Co-Extrusion technology is the more advanced technology; our product is made in two layers. USAVinyl only uses top quality 100% virgin materials in our extrusions. The outer layer contains a more concentrated amount of UV protection 10-12 parts per 100 of TI02/Titanium Dioxide. The inner layer utilizes TRUFORCE - impact modifiers which are the toughest acrylic modifiers in the industry. This is a key reason USAVinyl consistently outperforms the competition in impact testing.
Mono-Extrusion is an old technology the problem with mono extrusion is typically strength you cannot utilize the same impact modifiers because those impact modifiers are different colors so it is impossible to have the same tensile strength.

- Will USAVinyl's vinyl fence yellow over time?
No. USAVinyl's vinyl products contain titanium dioxide from DuPont (tiPURE) The best U.V. protection available (TIO²) and other chemical additives which prevent ultraviolet degradation.

If you can use a level, a tape measure, a post hole digger and a string line- and are willing to take the time to do the job right- you can do the job yourself. USAVinyl supplies written instructions and has phone support!
- Why is vinyl fence more expensive than wood?
Actually Vinyl Fence is not more expensive then wood. Although your investment is more initially, this is where your expense ends. The cost difference is quickly eliminated once the substantial cost of maintenance and repair of a wood fence is considered. USAVinyl fence use a high content of impact inhibitors which prevent breaking of properly installed fencing under normal use and conditions. Of course, dramatic and direct impact such as being struck by a car can cause damage, so it's good to know that when you buy from USAVinyl - you are buying from a manufacturer - we can get you the replacement parts!
- Will fencing become brittle in cold weather?
While plastic materials do become less flexible when it's cold, USAVinyl's components are designed to accommodate temperature swings. The impact modifiers we use to prevent breaking also allows our vinyl to withstand cold weather conditions.
- My neighbor is considering a fence as well. Can we save money if we place our orders at the same time?

- Is vinyl safe for children and animals?
Yes! Vinyl has a smooth non-porous surface with no sharp edges or splinters. Your children and animals are actually safer when compared to wood fences. Vinyl has a tough surface, retains no moisture.
